Essential Functions
**POSITION SUMMARY:**
The OnCore Support Specialist will functions as the subject matter expert (SME) for calendar and form building and modifications in the OnCore clinical trials management system. The OnCore Support Specialist will work with OnCore administration and study teams to design, develop, test and release study calendars and custom electronic case report forms. They will provide end user training and support related to the comprehensive clinical research application(s). Participates in on-site evaluation of new versions, patches, and maintenance upgrades and performs testing as needed.
**PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**
1. Applies standards and best practices in the implementation and deployment of OnCore features.
2. Develops strategies and work plans for own OnCore related tasks.
3. Owns the build of assigned OnCore protocols (protocol info, specifications, budgets, and electronic data collection forms) to completion. Assists the study team with initial OnCore training and use, as needed.
4. Evaluates requests to determine feasibility; researches and identifies options that best serve informatics and research needs.
5. Provides information about how requirements may affect functional design documents.
6. Participates in acceptance testing to ensure client/user needs are met.
7. Collects information regarding support requests and tracks and responds to questions from business and study team members.
8. Identifies potential problems that may arise with new or enhanced applications; communicates how problems will affect downstream users.
9. Possesses general knowledge of the Research environment at WUSM.
10. Assists with researching opportunities to minimize complexity by leveraging current informatics investments and seeking out cost effective solutions.
11. Participates in change management activities, including Quality Assurance and testing, troubleshooting, and investigation.
12. Assists with task automation and process improvements as directed.
13. Maintains established service level agreements to meet customer expectations and quality standards.
Required Qualifications
Requires a Bachelor's degree and up to two years of related clinical or research experience. A Master's degree can be substituted for two years of work experience. Four years of direct work experience can be substituted for a Bachelor's degree.
Preferred Qualifications
* 6 years related experience or a Masters degree
* Healthcare or clinical research knowledge
* Experience with clinical trial operations
* Experience with clinical applications
* Experience with clinical trial regulatory affairs or protocol development
* Experience with study calendars
* Familiarity with case report form content
* Familiarity with OnCore (CTMS)
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
* Knowledge of medical coding and CPT, ICD and HCPCS codes
Salary Range
The hiring range for this position is $46,113 - $58,801 annually.
